
This position is based in Port Moresby and reports directly to the Financial Controller (FC). This is an important role within the organisation responsible for assisting the FC in supporting the Finance Department by completing routine clerical and accounting tasks.
You will be responsible for:
- MYOB general ledger postings and reconciliation.
- Preparing Collections report.
- Supervise Data Entry Officers with daily and monthly reconciliation of bank statement.
- Reconcile loan establishment in Finpower against disbursements.
- Reconcile Loan Clearing Account.
- Finalise end of month bank reconciliations.
- Assist Financial Controller with preparing end of month reports.
You must possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in an accounting role
- Experience in MYOB
- Experience in bank reconciliation.
- Finpower experience will be favourably considered.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Be highly motivated and be prepared to work extra hours when required.
- Experience in the financial services industry favourably considered.
