Kumul Petroleum Academy (KPA) is a subsidiary of Kumul Petroleum Holdings Limited (Kumul Petroleum), we share the vision of creating value and opportunity for all Papua New Guineans, with the mission to develop the national workforce at all levels and across a range of industries and demography; as a major national oil and gas corporation.

KPA is a sophisticated, best-in-class training institute with a modern ethos for creating a ‘live work environment’. The Academy has a preparatory focus towards meaningful participation and contribution of trainee on the job as well as creating career platforms linked directly to sponsored trainee vacancies. This prepares a new generation of Papua New Guineans for skilled technical roles mainly in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and production in the oil & gas industry.

KPA operates under National Training Council (NTC) RTO 187, and works in partnership with SiteGroup International (SGI). SGI is the sole provider of quality oil and gas technical training programmes. The courses also attracts a City & Guilds (UK)internationally recognized qualification.

To ensure maximum learning, KPA has attracted some of the best highly qualified and experienced trainers in the industry both locally and internationally. All have gained their expertise having worked in training for oil and gas and other related industries for decades.
