
HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER
Role Summary:
Based in Port Moresby, the Human Resource Officer reports to the General Manager, Human Resource. The HR Officer will assist with key HR functions including recruitment, staff training and development and employee wellbeing initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of HR procedures, be able to communication effectively at all levels and be highly organized, to be successful in this role. The HR Officer will contribute to an effective, productive and harmonious work environment by implementing and enforcing HR policies in line with KPHL Company Regulations, PNG Labor Laws and Industry Standards.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide administrative support to core HR functions and staff benefits ensuring benefit claims are assessed and in line with staff employment contracts and KPHL terms and conditions of employment;
· Be the interface between staff and HR Department for a range of HR services;
· Provide support in processing Oracle HRMS enquiries as appropriate;
· Maintain electronic HR records in line with KPHL records management practices;
· Collaborate with Finance and Payroll Team, internal business partners and external vendors as required;
· Provide regular updates to the Human Resource Team and HR Management as and when required;
Qualifications/Experiences:
· Minimum, Diploma in Human Resource Management or equivalent, from a reputable learning institution;
· Minimum 3 years work experience in a similar role;
Technical Skills/Competencies:
· Basic knowledge of PNG Labour Law, with ability to comprehend and reference employment contracts and HR Policies;
· Demonstrated experience with HR systems with ability to process system reports for meaningful data;
· Customer centric focused with demonstrated experience to confidently handle sensitive information;
· Good communications skills (verbal and written) and can interact with staff at all levels;
· Good people skills and be able to work in a team;
· Knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety Rules and Legislation.
